The Coastal Motocross Club operates from Blackwood Park, behind Penguin on the North West Coast of Tasmania. The track is about 7 kilometres from Penguin, in the picturesque Dial Range Recreational Reserve. The track is on a private lease near a designated trail riding area.
Being central to the North West Coast population and close to the highway has the benefit of quick and easy access for both riders and the viewing public.
During the years of 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 the Coastal Motocross Club conducted a round of the National Championships - 2002 & 2003 were voted as the best series round by the competitors.
In 2004 Coastal Motocross hosted the Junior National Championship which was the biggest motor sport event held in Tasmania with a total of 460 riders.
